BALDWIN LADY BEARS BASKETBALL PHILOSOPHY

Our basketball program is based on a simple philosophy: We want to make our young ladies TEAM basketball players within a successful program which functions as an OHANA to achieve the higher goal of helping them to be better people.

A Lady Bear Basketball Player is a player who takes risks and is dedicated to both her individual improvement and the development of the team. She goes above and beyond, consistently demonstrating a high level of focus, intensity, and hustle during practices and games. The ideals that are expected for our Lady Bears Ohana are: teamwork, family, dedication, desire, sacrifice, heart, hustle, attitude and discipline.

Attitude, Behavior and Conduct

Athletes should exhibit a positive attitude and respect all aspects of the sport (teammates, coaches, opponents, officials, spectators, etc.)

Athletes should exemplify behaviors that will represent the school athletic department, team, and themselves in a productive and professional manner.

Athletes will maintain a high standard of personal conduct, be positive role models, and understand that their actions will be constantly scrutinized (practices, games, school, community, etc.)

Dedicated, disciplined, focused, humble, loyal, team players are traits expected from all athletes at all times.

School Attendance
1. Tardy to school or class (unexcused)
1st Offense: Verbal reprimand with consequence (i.e. conditioning, clean up after practices, etc.)

2nd Offense: Verbal reprimand with consequence. Possible loss of playing time, parents
