Sager prepares for next steps, alongside her senior class The high school experience is one that shapes your beliefs and characteristics, preparing you to enter the “real world”. This essential period of an individual’s life is unique to each and every high school student that goes through it. Senior Annika Sager is just one of millions of teenagers getting ready to enter the adult world. All of her past experiences throughout the past four years have contributed to her character today as a young adult. Throughout Sager’s high school career, she has played soccer, lacrosse, and basketball. These three team-based sports built important and genuine relationships for Sager. Many choices that Sager first made when introduced to the high school environment were based off of her siblings. With a sister in her sophomore year and a brother in his senior year, Sager had a few upperclassmen to talk to about new opportunities. The college freshman has noticed differences in the way that her younger sister conducts herself, having experienced almost all of high school so far. “All through elementary school and beyond she was shy and a lot less likely to go up to someone she didn't know. Since high school and especially since I have been at college she has become so much more outgoing.
