In the painting “Jamestown Lifescape” Keith Rocco uses precise details to convey the theme that cooperation and unity are indispensable to the survival of a thriving community. For instance, citizens are rolling the barrels of goods to the ships in order to send the supplies to other lands. The people of Jamestown are using teamwork by rolling the barrels to sell/distribute stock to other countries in order to sustain an economy by trading goods. To keep a strong economy, countries must maintain healthy relationships with other countries. To demonstrate, residents are working as a whole to finish construction, and keep the town growing.

The Orlando Museum of Art, also known as OMA, is a hub of Central Florida when it comes to pulling in remarkable works of art for the public eye to pay patronage to. Today I visited such a place for the annual Antiques Vintage and Garden Show, which took place between February 19th through the 21st. Included in the price of a ticket was also admission to The OMA’s current exhibitions, which included Women of Vision: National Geographic Photographers and their other running exhibits, which contained an array of work, ranging from Pre-Columbian sculptures to more contemporary works of the 21st century. I noticed that after I finished my time monitoring sheet that, there is absolutely no reason for me not to complete my studies at GCU. I’m always available because I don’t have a job or children to take care of my only responsibility are my dogs. So now that I start school my biggest priority will be to do my school work and turn it in on time. But I did notice that I waste a lot of time doing nothing but, I guess that’s good in a way because now I can replace the time slots that I’m doing nothing, with studying so I can make better grades.
The collection focuses on the way that we relate and accept others. In the performance task, many of the text read that will be refered to show how there are other cultures, traditions and ways that things are different in societies. This is shown by the ways that people accept and forgive what harm has been done. In the reading, Texas v. Johnson, Gregory Lee Johnson was a citizen who spoke on his own rights about what the flag and America meant to him.
Individuals can shape a community just as much as a community can shape an individual. In the novel the apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz by Mordecai Richler, there is many prime example of this. A boy, a troublemaker, is shaped greatly by his community because he was trying to please people but at the same time he was trying to seek for attention. Through doing the things that made him the rebellious boy he was, he also shaped his community. Throughout this course we have went over several other texts that show, exponentially how community and individual shape each other.

In Yo-yo Ma’s writing, “Necessary Edges: Art, Empathy, and Education”, Ma discusses the importance of integrating arts in society and education; this differs from Rhys Southan’s writing, “Is Art a Waste of Time”, for it talks about how the “Effective Altruism” movement does not see art as valuable because it does not make major contributions to society. Art is a tool used to communicate with people; this tool positively impacts contemporary culture, for it brings different cultures closer together, changes opinions, and it is useful in education. Art is used all around the world to express culture. The art forms created by different cultures are shared with one another, and this creates subcultures and links cultures together.
