Demise of Last Duchess Ferrara, a man angered and saddened by the loss of his duchess, sought the Count’s daughter for a hand in marriage. As the duke walked back to the dining room, he wiped away a growing tear. “Good evening, gentlemen. My apologies for the delay.”
The guests continued to mumble amongst their thoughts.
“Gentlemen,” stated the duke as he took his seat.
The room fell quiet as all eyes turned to Ferrara.

“The emissary requested to lay eyes upon my grandest piece o’ art.”
“Tell me how you met this fine lady?” requested the Count.
“On my twelfth birthday, my parents stressed a strong work habit within me. My hand was skilled in blacksmithing, so I volunteered my talent.”
“If I recall,” the Count interrupted, “you were unwillingly placed in this position?”
Ferrara felt slightly agitated. “Correct. Now if it please you for me to continue, I ask for your silence.”
He paused for a second.
“Thank you. One particular owner, whose name was Mason, had a daughter that worked in the back of the shop. She would be my duchess. Although I had adequate skill as a blacksmith, I was given the task o’ tidying the shop. This meant I frequently interacted in the back with my to-be wife. Later on, I learned her gullible personality led her to isolation from most public interactions. It is reasons like this I remember her spot o’ joy. When her father died, she became the sole owner o’ the business, which would eventually be sold for great value.
