This artist makes it clear that this is a religious event and not one of the natural humanistic events like a regular family dinner. Document 4, involving the second portrayal of “the last supper” was created exactly 100 years later. Although Leonardo’s version is also showing the same event, he manages to leave out the clear religious parts from the first painting and incorporates the use of linear perspective therefore making the viewer feel as if they were there being involved in the figures conversations. The amount of detail that Da Vinci uses makes the figures come alive and be in motion. The garments on which they are wearing are even folded and adds

As the moderating levels of prejudice and discrimination in Asian American has slightly turns to positive stereotype. Because of their achievements in education and economy, it makes Asian American less difficult to adapt to the society. The educational and economical achievements demonstrate how Asian Americans increasingly are moving toward assimilation. Therefore, the term of model minority is labeled on Asian Americans due to the accomplishment they’ve made. It is like the “American dream” that most people viewed as, having good jobs, making good money, and getting a high education, those are the American dreams that most people would think of in mind.
In the painting 'The Last Supper', by Nicolas Poussin 1640-1649, there are many similarities and differences in comparison to 'The Last Supper', by Jacopo Tintoretto 1592-1594. Nicolas Poussin was a French Baroque painter and Jacopo Tintoretto was an Italian Renaissance painter. These two paintings were painted about fifty years apart, both representing an important event that occurred in the Christian religion. ' The Last Supper' is the last dinner Jesus had with his disciples the night before his death. Poussin and Tintoretto use light and dark colors to create an intense and dramatic scene.
Looking at this photo you can see it is an obvious recreation of the Last Supper by da Vinci. This series that David LaChapelle does is called Jesus is my Homeboy and he got this inspiration from someone he saw wearing a shirt that says Jesus is my homeboy. There are many differences from this photo and the original. The first I noticed is there are 13 people or disciples in this photo and in the original there are 12; there are also burgers and beer instead of bread and wine. I also noticed that Jesus is in the center with the halo lighting to bring the most attention to him.

The most important endeavor a person can undertake is to contribute to the lives of others. As we encourage and console, we contribute to human success. Without nourishing positive human interaction, we stunt the ability of others to give to the world, thereby disadvantaging our global society. Thus, it is important to me to search for ways to develop my intrapersonal skills so that I might serve others, prevent or soothe distress, and potentially save a life.
Art is a way of defining who you are, a way of showing your emotions and applications of our imagination and creativity. Art has and always be a part of this world as long as our humanity exists. For several millenia, people have been creating , criticizing and basking in the fascination of art. The Last Supper was highly influenced by religion which paved a way for others after him to do art similar Da Vinci’s style. You can see his influence reflected in the work of Fred Baumbach, who paints perceptive art inspired by his religious faith in Jesus Christ. The whole point of art is to display it to the public and share ideas, theories, feelings, or values to the world. Furthermore, that supports the fact that it is a personal knowledge and as it is shown it effects individuals, especially other artists. Whether that be a singer/songwriter, rapper, an author, or dancer, they all share their own form of work.
The artwork I choose for Renaissance was The Last Supper by Leonardo Da Vinci. This artwork has been taken from the Italian High Renaissance and it is from the scene from the bible and not forgetting its media is tempera which is famous during the Renaissance period. Why I chose this painting is because it shows linear perspective that is everything is pointing towards the head of Christ. It is also approximately symmetrical balance. It shows that it is roughly balanced on both sides.
The Last Supper is the final meal that Jesus Christ has with his Disciples before his crucifixion. The first significance of the Last Supper is when Jesus Christ announces in the supper that one of twelve of his disciples will betray him before sunrise. The painting shows the story of the scene after Jesus Christ announces the betrayal of one of his disciples. “One of you will betray me” (Bible, by Mark 14:18) the second significance of the Last supper is that Jesus Christ taught his followers the symbol that he is remembered for the sacrifices of his blood and body for mankind. "
Each artist paints and or sculpts pieces that show human emotions, religious symbolism, and extreme detail. Leonardo da Vinci is the first artist to be discussed because of his popularity. He is best known for the Mona Lisa. The Mona Lisa was a portrait of a woman that developed a meaning, people said it’s a symbol of the Renaissance information which came from this quote. “The Mona Lisa was originally this type of portrait, but over time its meaning has shifted and it has become an icon of the Renaissance perhaps the most recognized painting in the world.”
The piece of art I am grateful for is “The Last Dinner of Jesus”. I am grateful for this piece of art because it is when our lord had his last meal before he died on the cross. He is with all of his “brothers” on a dining table having bread and wine. That is why I am grateful for this piece of art.
