Dear Edward Said,
I am writing to you regarding the land of Israel. I believe that the Jewish people have a stronger claim to the land, through these several arguments I will provide evidence that the Jewish people have a stronger claim to the land of Israel than the Arabs.
The Jewish people have ancient ties to the land of Israel. The ties the Jewish people possess to the land date back 3700 years ago. There is evidence that the Jewish people settled in Palestine before the Arabs. The Jewish people have ancient biblical ties to the land. These inscriptions mention our God YHWH, meaning the God of Israelites. They even name people mentioned in the Hebrew Bible. They include certain words that are mentioned in the Hebrew Bible. This reflects the community that used to live there and whose dominant language was Hebrew, who didn’t eat pork and worshipped a god YHWH. An example of one of these inscriptions comes from Jerusalem. Below the church of Scotland in a Jewish tomb from the seventh B.C.E, a silver cylinder had the inscription of: “May YHWH bless you and keep you. May YHWH make his face shine to you and give you peace”. These words are the words of the Priestly Blessing in the Hebrew Bible.
