I am writing this letter on behalf of Steven Hargrove in support of his desire to attend North Carolina Central University graduate school of Criminal Justice. I submit this letter of recommendation because I feel Steven is well suited for the Masters in Criminal Justice Program. I highly recommend him without hesitation, as he is the type of student that will do well with graduate work and will complete the program with uncompromising success. He is not a novice when it comes to graduate work and has the fortitude to preserve and complete this undertaking as demonstrated with previous graduate work completed at North Carolina Central University.

Therefore, he is now over the program he attended as a student and received his Associate Degree. He continues to challenge the students in his classroom to think critically and never shy afraid from asking questions and seeking knowledge from teachers or others in support positions. His classroom discussions are thought provoking and enlightening. Equally, he offers this same epistemology to those he supervises to invigorate students to learn and challenge them to pursue learning beyond the classroom but to others aspects of the student’s daily lives. He has the attention of the Vice President and President of the college because of his ability to spearhead novel ideas with excellence. As the Director of Public Services, Steven changed most of the antiquated practices and incorporated current technologies and ideologies to embrace the challenges students face before venturing into the workforce. In some instances, he revamped some programs to ensure compliance while resulting in better completion rates for the program and the college as well. Steven ultimate goal is for each student enrolling in a class completes the program, and become a productive member of the students chosen field.
Steven teaches his classes in an effort to prepare students for furthering their education. Therefore, he exposes the students to research and graduate concepts while enrolled in the community college. He teaches the introductory course to acclimate Criminal Justice students of what they should expect for the remainder of their community college and postgraduate school learning experience.
