Bullying Among LGBTQ Youth Can you imagine being tortured and ridiculed for something that you are unable to control? The youth members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning community are unfortunately put into this predicament often. Every day youth members of the LGBTQ community are rejected by their peers, religious institutions, and often times their own family members. This large scale bullying of LGBTQ community members creates an environment that puts its members at risk of mental health issues including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, and substance abuse.
