‘’ Life and death appeared to me ideal bounds, which I should first break through, and pour a torrent of light into our dark world’’ (Volume 1 Chapter III, pp 33 in the Norton Critical Edition) seem to be creepy and odd especially when victor made the statement. To me that doesn’t sound right with the way Victor caimed, because it sounds absurd when reading it out.
Therefore, what is striking about the whole statement is why the word death and why did victor use it at the first place. Victor using the word life and death in his words shows that he is traumatized about what will come of him if his doesn’t change his ways. The quote he said, ‘’Life and death appeared to me ideal bounds, which I should first break through, and pour a torrent of light into our dark world.’’ Has diferent interpretations, which I believe will make the reading a little interesting to understand what the genue reason is for Victors. Also victor statement makes know I’m obsessed with the statement made by victor when he mentioned.
