The Life and Times of Fred Strickland: A Life Well Lived Childhood and adulthood has many similarities and differences. Studies has proven that childhood is the most important time in a person’s life. It is the time where a person will begin to create themselves and prepare for adulthood. However, if a person does not live his childhood properly and with the right conduct, being an adult will be more elaborate and demanding for him. Both childhood and adulthood have positive attributes. Both childhood and adulthood hold responsibility, the possibility of caring relationships, and different levels of priorities. Responsibility is given to both children and adults. However, the level of responsibility is different from childhood to adulthood. A child, first and foremost, is supposed to be taught responsibility at home and at an early age. However, once they are in school, they are taught to have more responsibilities— moral responsibilities, social responsibilities, personal responsibilities and so on. Both children and adults can be caring; however, they express it in different ways. In childhood, it is easy for children to reveal their care for others. They usually reveal it by doing what is right, sharing with others, apologizing, and generally just showing love. Although revealing their care is what they like to do, they also like for others to reveal themselves, such as adults and other children. Sharing information, playing their favorite types of games, and being silly are usually the main ways children display affection. In adulthood, caring also displays kindness and concern. Mature adults would think caring is valuable and supposed to be rooted in everyone. Adults usually show their care for others in their jobs, whether it be at a nursing home, an elementary school, a doctor’s office, nursing, or a chancery
