The Jewish Holocaust is a very well known tragedy around the world. During the Jewish Holocaust many lives were lost and many people began to lose hope. This was a very horrible tragedy that affected many and continue to affect many to this day. The amount of lives that were lost or taken during the Holocaust was enormous. It is considered to be a masquer and will forever help to shape the world, whether it be good or bad. The Holocaust helps to teach us through or mistakes, and has helped to shape the world. The Holocaust took place in 1933 and continued on until 1945. The word Holocaust was used to describe the mass murders because it is derived from a word meaning “a sacrifice by fire”. The man source of murder during this time was by gas chambers and burning of bodies. During the Holocaust, the Nazi Germany and their helpers held systematic persecutions of around six million “European Jewry”. Jenny was born in in Ceska Lipa in 1912 and lost her father at the age of four. Jenny then went to live with her Grandmother while her mother worked to support her. When Jenny was in her twenties Hitler began to take over, causing the Jews to panic for their lives. Jenny moved to Hamburg, Germany where she married Ludwig Cohen and had a son named Victor. Once they started their family they decided to flee Germany and leave their loved ones behind, but they found out that their visas had expired before they were able to depart. In 1941, they were able to depart to America and escape from the reign of Hitler. Once in America. Jenny gave birth to her daughter and her family was finally safe. But they later found out that the twenty-six family members they left behind in Germany had been lost in the
