As the title says, the main characters are Romeo and Juliet. To tell you a short summary, Capulet, which is Juliet’s side, and Montague, which is Romeo’s side, are enemies to each other. One day, Romeo goes to the Capulets’ party and meets Juliet. But their families have bad feelings to each other so their love was not going to be successful. Soliloquy is used in many quotes from the topic love and hate. The first quote that uses soliloquy is “O Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo? Deny thy father and refuse they name, or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love, and I’ll no longer be a Capulet.” This is when Juliet realized that Romeo is the only son of the enemy Montague in act 2, scene 2. The quote is representing love and also said while Romeo was listening to Juliet without her knowing. This uses soliloquy because the speaker, Juliet didn’t know that there was Romeo listening to her so she was speaking to herself with nobody in the front. The second quote is “Oh, look! Methinks I see my cousin’s ghost Seeking out Romeo, that did spit his body upon a rapier’s point. Stay, Tybalt, stay! Romeo, Romeo, Romeo! Here’s drink, I drink to thee.” This was said by Juliet in her room, just before she drank the liquid, which Friar gave to her.
