In the novel The Lord of the Flies William Golding shows how humans are essentially bad. He gives us plenty of examples of how humans are bad. In his book shows how humans are bad. Plus, all throughout history we have been taught, and shown that humans are bad. I believe that humans are bad because they try to overpower one another and they discriminate one another based on looks. William Golding’s novel Lord of the Flies shows that humans are bad through bullying one another. Jack will punch anybody who stands in his way. He is not afraid to hurt someone. He does not respect all of the boys on the island. He is always messing with Piggy. He does not respect Ralph as a leader. He is known for being a bully at school and on the island. He also stabs Ralph and Piggy in the back by sending some of his followers over to Ralph’s tents and scare them and ruin their campsite. Jack does not respect that Ralph has been chosen as the leader. He is willing to do whatever it takes to overpower Ralph, and become the leader himself. He does not respect the rules that all of the boys had agreed on. He doesn’t like the way Ralph has been running things on the island so he goes off on his own taking a majority of the boys with him. He does this because he wants to be the leader and doesn’t like the idea that someone is above him. He has to be the one in charge, because he thinks he is the biggest and strongest one on the island.
