Views on civilization and savagery range from different levels in the novel lord of the flies. Trapped on an island were a group of boys, which after a period of time they began to change, which caused one of the most dominating theme to arise is humans adaptation towards savagery, and the rules of civilization which were made to domesticate and subdue. Ralph and Piggy which represented civilization, Jack and Roger representing savagery. The differing Ideas the boys represented distinctively. Subsequently, at the beginning Ralph the newly elected leader of the young boys, is positively committed to civilization and morality and is determined to make sure the boys survive and be rescued. All the boys were so excited to be living on an island full with flowers, fruit, and swimming pools. Evening at the beginning, human influence started to affect this uninhabited “ Garden Of Eden”, and when everything began to crumble the group started to separate. Ralph and his sidekick Piggy were overwhelmed and confused of what to do, most of the “Biguns” were not taking care of their responsibilities, instead they painted their faces and went hunting all day.
