Love is a rare and special feeling that many encounters throughout their life. People feel love for their families, although that's a love we are born with. People grew up reading stories of such unimaginable love for example: “Cinderella”, “Beauty and the Beast”, and maybe even “Twilight.” In ¨Sonnet 116”and ‘Romeo And Juliet', love prevails as a force for good because it’s everlasting through time and hardships, it brings people together, and love has the potential to bring the best out of people.

In ‘Romeo and Juliet’ the Capulets and Montage's end their feud after the tragedy itself. “O brother Montague, give me thy hand” (Shakespeare 5.3 Page 13). Capulet has realized the harm and effects of the death of the ‘star-crossed lovers’ after losing his precious treasure he felt guilt due to all the cruel words he had said to Juliet. The feud is an important aspect of the book because it was the reason for all the deaths and secrecy. “Doth with their death bury their parents' strife.” (Shakespeare Prologue page 1.) At the time, Romeo and Juliet did not know that by killing themselves they were ending the feud. Losing Romeo and Juliet forced everyone around them to appreciate their lives and loved ones a lot more. On the other hand, love can bring out the best in people. For example, the main foil we see in the beginning of the book is between Romeo and Tybalt. Tybalt, due to his arrogance, brings the best out of Romeo when he is attempting to engage Romeo in a duel (Shakespeare 3.1). Romeo denies Tybalt's offer to a fight, for obvious reasons. Tybalt continues to harass Romeo while Romeo is simply complementing Tybalt in return.We see the best is brought out of Romeo as he is showing maternity and respect for his ‘Family.’
Overall, love is a marvelous force for good because it is everlasting through time and hardships, it brings people together, and it has the potential to bring the best out of people. Love outshines hate in ‘Romeo and Juliet’, disregarding the fact that it is labeled as a tragedy. In “Sonnet 116” true love is proven to be something that doesn't grow old or alter with us, but instead, it grows as more connections are made. The irresistible love read about in books and fairy tales and the movies we see about ‘Happily Ever Afters’, can be a dream come true after
