Louis Zamperini was a hero to the world because he survived being tortured, starved, and beaten continuously for two years. His story is retold the magnificent book unbroken. Written by Laura Hillenbrand, so beautifully Re-creates the hardships he survives. My book falls under the category of a quoting quote hero because, clearly it features a hero. I would say Louis Zamperini is considered a hero for many reasons.
Unbroken, pgs. 1-80 Some events that do not describe a hero in Louie Zamperini in the novel Unbroken is when he was young he stole anything edible, and he also ran away often. Louie was a kid that snuck into games and was letting people get in for free. Louie started to drink at the age eight. Another thing Louie did was rob people he had stashes of food loot and even alcohol; he would spit spit balls around the class and his teacher would make him stand in the corner so he deflated his teacher's car tires. Usually hero’s have good grades always follow rules never do anything bad, but Louie was the complete opposite you would not expect anything good from a kid like him.

Dave Eggers’ book Zeitoun is about a man named Zeitoun who decides to stay behind in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina,He makes the sacrifice to let his family leave without him which he later on regrets. All good heroes who have courage, show patience in their life. You need patience in order to fairly succeed in life. Louie Zamperini had to be proactive in the situations he faced. When he spent 47 days on a raft with two others, he took charge on conserving the food and water. When Zamperini was in his early teens, he found himself in trouble often.
Louis Zamperini is a well known hero for his deeds. As a child, Louie was unstoppable. When Louie was two years old and was sick, Louie couldn’t sit still and jumped out of his window, and he ran with policemen chasing after him. He was known as an one-man insurgency. As Louie grew older and joined the Army, Louie changed in some ways and stayed the same in others.
