Motivation is a desire to achieve a goal or task. We all need motivation in our jobs to perform better. Accordingly there are many ways to motivate the employees and the rewards depend upon the business and the budget of the employer. There are advantages and disadvantages the kind of rewards that are offered to motivate the employees.
Each individual may have different Motivation for working at a job. There are many advantages in motivating an individual. Motivation will help them keep focused in their job, become financial independent, better performance, produce quality products and helps them advance at work and in life. When people are motivated in their work, the business thrives. So it becomes necessary for the managers and the supervisors to keep the employees motivated.

We have to come up with ideas with a very little cost or no cost ideas to motivate people. I liked the idea of rewarding the positive actions by noticing and mentioning in the staff meeting. I also liked the idea of encouraging the staff to run portions of staff meetings (Clark. S 2008,March7). This way they get a chance to lead the team and develop the leadership skills. Recently we were invited for an all expenses covered professional development workshop at Toronto and two of my staff are going and it was a hard decision to pick up two ladies from the team. But the staffs that are not coming were so excited that they could look forward for some opportunities like this in future. It is important to observe and identify each staff needs and goals. Encouraging and providing the chances to achieve will keep the staff
