I am an active member in a wide variety of activities. I am very involved in 4-H and FFA. Through these clubs, I have participated in many community service projects. I work hard in the classroom and I’m very goal driven. I have a 3.14 GPA, and I strive to do better each and every day.
CNA Certification I was really looking forward to getting my job at Winner Regional Long Term Care. This was the summer after my freshmen year and I had just turned 16. My mom and my friend Mollie really made me believe I would have a lot of fun while helping people.
I want to join Year Up because the program appeals to many of my interest. I believe that Year Up is a good program for me. I am young and very devoted to learning new things and I believe the whole purpose of Year Up to give us youth the skills and training we need to achieve our personal goals. Year Up is a way for me to gain entry-level skills in the growing field of technology. This essay is about my past ELA experiences. The highs and lows, likes and dislikes. Let’s start with my likes; I really like the reading and reading comprehension along with spelling and test. What I don’t like about ELA is poetry, book reports and writing. I want to be a physician because I want people to grow old. At the age of 6, one of my closest friends was diagnosed with leukemia. By age 8, the disease claimed his life, robbing him of the opportunity to experience the privilege of growing old. Unfortunately, we live in a society of vanity. The first time I recognized my passion for sustainable development was when my father and I took a trip to the San Diego waste landfill in Miramar. As a garbage truck driver, my father wanted to expose me to the waste industry at a young age. Since he never had the opportunity to finish grade school, the only way he could mentor me was by teaching me the process in which we dispose trash. Therefore, despite his broken English and limited understanding on sustainability, taking me to visit the landfill fused my passion for the environment.
