Do you believe that everything happens for a reason? Fate has always been a topic of discussion. While many argue that fate is predetermined and beyond human control, others believe that individuals hold the power to shape their own destinies in their daily lives. Despite what many may believe, every man is in fact the architect of their own fate as proven throughout the analyzation of the tragic character Macbeth, the words within the Serenity Prayer, and from our own real-life experiences. Throughout history, countless individuals have overcome adversity and achieved success against all odds, demonstrating their ability to control their own destinies. From entrepreneurs who build thriving businesses to athletes who triumph over physical limitations, these real-life examples highlight that personal choices, determination, and hard work are essential factors in shaping one's future. More personally, as teenagers who are only experiencing life and the world for the first time, the quote by Appius Claudius applies to us too. The choices we make now will stick with us forever, whether we believe it or not. If any teenager were to get in any issue involving law, that would physically be recorded and follow us for majority if not our entire lives depending on the severity. Additionally, the choices we make in school shapes our fate as well. If we become lazy and slack off in high school and do not show excellent work ethics, this can become a problem for us in our future and even prevent ourselves from getting certain secondary education or careers. Social Media also plays a significant role in shaping our fates, as we learned earlier on throughout the course on digital footprints. Decisions regarding education, career, relationships, and personal growth all have profound effects on one's fate.
