Machines during World War II

In today’s society we would have never guessed in our lives that computers were used during the war. Computers back then during the war were a whole lot different from ours today. During the war, some people would use these massive computers to help contact soldiers that are fighting and also to help call out for back up. These computers have upgraded and changed drastically. From having 10,000 tubes connected to a typing machine all to way to today’s nation where we are able to carry these computers in our pockets, bags, purses, etc.

These machines where created in Germany who used two distinct categories of machine to encrypt messages prior to radio transmission. Which, were very helpful for them. The first machine was called Enigma, which was very identical to a type writer, but this one was more advanced. The second machine was the so-called FISH machines, which had resembled teleprinters and was used only for the highest grade communications, usually between Berlin and the headquarters of various Army Groups. …show more content…
