In terms of economics the GDP growth rate for Nebraska was 1.7% while in 2008 the GDP of Lincoln was $13,608 million, and the GDP per capita was $43,000 compared to the U.S which was at $42,000. According to these numbers Lincoln and Nebraska as a whole are doing much better than the United States as a whole. While overall the unemployment rate for Nebraska was never higher than the U.S unemployment rate. Overall the Nebraska economy is not at all suffering and in fact is doing better than the United States as a whole. Most of this technology has been introduced by Mercedes-Benz, but how much longer before Chrysler acquires this technology is the deciding factor of whether or not you need to promote this technology or downplay it. Trends also factor in because, according to the book, will influence how people will buy the products. Some of the trends that have popped up in American culture that affect the small town feel. Studies now show that less people are getting married with 23% of men and 17% of women getting married where as in 1960 only 10% of men and 8% of women never married.
