In the end, both ordinary citizens and people with authority can use their resources and opportunities to spread compassion and transform the world for the better by rising above their fears. During times of human weakness, there are so few willing to take a stand; however, there are humane and courageous people like Hans Hubermann, Madame Archer, Oskar Schindler, and Paul Rusesabagina who all made the judgement that the cause they are fighting for is too important to be clouded over by their fears and selfish desires. Many people fail to understand that the impact of such atrocious times would have been much more detrimental if no one stepped in; these upstanders helped stop the perpetrators in their path before the situation got out of hand.
