Henri Membertou Henri Membertou was born around 1510 close to what is modern day Annapolis Royal and passed away so September 11 1611. He was the leader of the Mi’kmaq First Nations band which was located near Port Royal and was the first native to be baptized on 18 September 1611 at Annapolis Royal. Before he was grand chief of the Mi’kmaq tribe he was the district chief of Kespukwitk the area where the French colonists first landed. As well as being the district chief he was also the spiritual leader of his tribe and was believed to have healing and prophesy powers.
Antoine Robidoux was a mountain man, trader, son, husband, brother, and friend. He died on August 29th, 1860 in St. Joseph, Missouri. Antoine was born September 24th, in Forissant, Missouri. He was born a member of a large and influential French-Canadian trading family.

Serrano Indians were the earliest known inhabitants of the land that is now Montclair. In 1774, Captain Juan Bautista de Anza named that sycamore tree-lined creek "Arroyo de los Alisos," the Stream of the Sycamores, later renamed San Antonio Creek. Up until the 1890s, Montclair was little more than grazing land and a watering hole.
A colonizer and statesman, Manuel Lorenzo Justiniano de Zavala was one of the most talented and capable of the many native Mexicans involved in Texas ' struggle for independence from Mexico. He was born in the villiage of Tecoh in what is now the state of Yucatan, Mexico, on October 3, 1789. While still in his teens, de Zavala became an ardent advocate of democratic reforms. As a result of his political activism, he was imprisoned in 1814 for three years. When released, he re-entered politics and by 1820 represented Yucatan in the Spanish Cortes in Madrid.
Marie Delphine LaLaurie tortured innocent slaves due to her family’s murders during the slave uprising of 1811. After her family’s deaths all three of her husband’s mysteriously died or disappeared. Her first husband, Don Ramon De Lopez y Angullo was a high ranking Spanish officer and died on March 26, 1804 mysteriously during a falling out with the king of Spain. Her second husband Jean Blanque was a prominent banker, merchant, lawyer, legislator, and well-known slave trader. They were married for two years before he died unexpectedly reasons as to why are unknown (A Portrait of Cruelty).

Ronald Dominique Ronald Dominique is an American serial killer from Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana. Dominique was born on January 9th, 1964. Following his arrest on December 1, 2006, Dominique confessed to the rape and murder of at least 23 men over a ten-year period beginning in 1997, in Terrebonne Parish, Lafourche Parish, Iberville Parish and Jefferson Parish in suburban New Orleans. He has been charged with eight cases of rape and first-degree murder.
