The information technology industry crisis has come to the attention of those at the state level. There are not enough skilled employees in the state to fill the job market demands without hiring from out of the state. The state, in conjunction with several of the state’s top information technology organizations, got together and formed the Information Technology Consortium (ITC). Their mission is to increase the availability of highly qualified information technology (IT) professionals over the next 5 years (Dunlap, 2014). They plan to do this through funding programs that will help directly increase the number of qualified IT professionals available within their own state. Several universities including Craiger University will be competing for these funds.
Research Questions
1. What major changes will Craiger University need to make in the structure of their courses? Why?
2. Who will be learning from the new system and will the system handle the numbers required by the state?
3. How will the new certificate program ensure high quality online teaching for adults?
