Throughout the world, there will always be developments that need to be made in anything we do. There are some things that are more important than others, such as the government, the military, and law enforcement on all levels. Things of this nature are a virtual due to the fact of there always being room for improvement in everything in the world no matter where it is, and plus these are people that is dealing with the welling-being of the people in the world. Here we will point out a few important developments in comparative policing, courts, and also the corrections. Afterwards, we will identify and describe three major global challenges that criminal justice may face in the future.

The first major global challenge that criminal justice may face in the future is trying to reduce the high incarceration rate. Nevertheless, this is something that we should focus on strong, because in the United States alone, we spend about 50 billion dollars a year in correctional efforts. Although, with this it does not only affect the criminal, but it also affects the different individuals that live in the community where these offenders are committing all of these crimes. High incarceration rate across the world we only have us spending more money to house and feed the offenders, in which this money could be used for important things such as things to better the world. If we do not find more ways to rehabilitate and prepare criminals for reintegration into the community then we will not be able to keep the incarceration rate down. The more incarcerations that happen is a long lasting effect to the inmate, the families, and just the world as a whole. Next, another major challenge that criminal justice may face in the future is responding to the crime of violence against women. According to the National Institute of Justice, about 1.3 million women are physically assaulted by their intimate partner yearly. We need to find ways to deter these violent offenders from assaulting these women and just feeling as if they can get away with it. As we talked about earlier with the courts it is a must that we increase the certainty of the punishment. However, if the offender knows that they will be punished assaulting a female they will think twice about it before doing it. In addition, this could also help cut down the number of physical assaults committed on women per year by their intimate partners. Finally, the last of the three major challenges that the criminal justice system may face in the future is youth in the criminal justice system. However, we
