The Civil Rights Movement changed America forever; it contributed to molding a new, more promising future for citizens. Freedom of Speech, the right to vote, the right to equality in public places etc. These rights helped changed the quality of life for people of colour tremendously. Living in a world of fear, racism, and discrimination began to slowly diminish. The Civil Rights Movement changed Americans for the better, however to every effect there’s a cause. Malcolm knew the pain and the injustice others had felt, he knew what it was liked to be kicked when you’re down; he knew so therefore he knew it needed to be changed. How did Malcolm impact Civil Rights? Malcolm affected civil rights the ways other couldn’t. In the time these events took place many were fighting for equality and peace between races, whereas Malcolm was fighting for black pride and grew frustrated with the non-violent approach to gaining rights due to his theory that blacks would uncontrollably lose control of their own movement and it would result in there being no change . Although many disagreed with his fight against racism and some called him violent, many saw it as passion. Passion to fight for what was right and to actually make a change.
