He states that “We no longer let time serve us, we serve time and we are slaves of the schedule, worshippers of the sun’s passing, bound into a life predictable on restrictions because the system will not function if we don’t keep the schedule tight” (Ellison 6). In the time management handout, Julie Morgenstern talks about the different errors we often make in managing our time. She arranges these mistakes into three categories, technical, external, and psychological. While reading the handout I discovered that one of my technical errors is trying to do a task that is too complex. I will sometimes attempt to juggle all the different aspects of a big job at the same time and end up dropping the balls. Morgenstern recommends taking these complex jobs and breaking them down into smaller more manageable tasks.
