This is what they are known for. Cabela’s has the highest amount of assortment between the three. There stores are big, and jam packed full of outdoor goods. Cabela’s prices are reasonable, there is sometimes you can find items cheaper somewhere else, but usually Cabela’s prices are competitive. Cabela’s does a great job a promoting they advertise greatly on TV and the internet. They are usually the only outdoor store I see advertise on TV. Usually Cabela’s is in bigger cities with a higher population. Sportsman Warehouse is a combination of hunting, fishing, and camping. They are a smaller store, so the assortment is smaller. The stores are a little smaller than the three. Sportsman prices are on the expensive side, there is multiple times I have found items cheaper other places. Also, under the Cabela’s sign it says World’s foremost outfitter, they are promoting how they have everything you need for your outfitter needs. Also, they advertise all the categories they sell on their building from fishing, hunting and outdoor goods. All their signs are LED which can be seen day and night and the letters are big enough to see from the road. Cabela’s does use suggestive selling, they always ask if you need anything else. When you buy a gun there they always ask if you have a case or cleaner for it. They also mention to you about discounts and other goods. Cabela’s does a great job of using promotional tools, they offer samples of all their fudge and baked goods. They offer discounts and have a section called the bargain cave where items are deeply discounted. They also have big seminars about hunting and fishing. They have multiple bow ranges you can go and shoot. They display everything, even big items like tents and canopy’s. The stores each have sections designated for activity. In the sections they usually have a mount of a fish to promote fishing. They also do have some premiums you can register to get a credit card, where you can earn Cabela’s points for every purchase you make in store and out of
