Martin Luther King Junior is a man who spoke truth, and motivated people to stand up for each other. In Martin Luther King Junior’s “ I Have a Dream” speech, this is a small part of the speech that Martin Luther King Jr. said , “ I have a dream today! I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, and every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight; "and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed and all flesh shall see it together."2 This is our hope, and this is the faith that I go back to the South with. Everyone is the same in God’s eyes. Martin Luther King Jr. lead the greatest Civil Right Movement of all time, but from this,he was assassinated for what he stood up for. He is remembered by a memorial dedicated to him in Washington, D.C.
In this paper you will learn about an inspirational man that changes history and how he is remembered. The day was January 15, 1929, there was a young man born, he grew up with great strength, eloquence and integrity, his name was Michael King Jr. His name was changed at age five to Martin Luther King Junior. In the mid-1950s, he had started to impact the United States for what he stands for. He stood up for the Africans or Negroes, in his eyes he saw that everyone was the same and was made in God’s eyes. He also led one of the greatest Civil Rights Movement in history. In 1964, he received the Nobel Peace Prize. By 1968, all of his years of demonstration and speeches started to give him a big name, but by this time he was growing tired of all the marches, death threats and spending time in jail.
