Master Of Legal Studies Personal Statement

In earlier years, I had worked and committed my experience to investigating, dissecting, and developing information inside my humanitarian effort during the Obama menstruation political campaign. While also performed tasks such as canvassing, data file, and entry, answering phone calls, and other means of customer service, during my time with this volunteer group. For this reason, my volunteer work with this campaign helped give me a sense of insight and involvement that I can later apply to my lifelong hopes and dreams. By obtaining a Master of Legal Studies degree, I hope to further my roles and impact in the careers and avenues God can potentially lead me to be in. For the most part, a Master of Legal Studies degree to me is a degree that can not only broaden my horizon in increasing my skills and knowledge in and outside of the legal studies field.

What I plan to do with this degree is to hold a career in a work setting as a paralegal, lawyer, assistant, or even in a subcontractor work field. I came to this conclusion while looking for internships and jobs that aligned with what I love to do. In the first 3-5 years after graduating, I see myself working as a paralegal or a legal assistant. Since obtaining an internship job, such as being a subcontractor for the DOI, I have learned a lot about how an MLS can help bump up my applications in pursuing avenues of legal assistance. And a bump in my knowledge in the legal field overall. Through the advice of my supervisor, who was even an Alumni of Harvard law University.
