Whether it’s a five star restaurant’s lobster dinner, or Mcdonald’s cheeseburger, people love going out to eat. With the lives of today's people getting busier and busier, people tend to have less time to eat out more and not make home cooked meals as much. There are two main ways that people eat there food, they either go out to a restaurant, or stay at home and make a conventional home cooked meal. The main things to consider when deciding whether to go out to eat or dine in at home are expenses, family time, and how healthy the food is. In this day and age, money is tight. The time being spent with family is another thing to keep in mind when deciding where to eat. Whether deciding to go out to eat or cook at home, both can be done while spending quality time with family members. The stress levels of going out to eat is much lower than making a meal at home. Someone takes the order and delivers the food right to the table. Cooking at home can also be a pleasurable time spent with family. Shopping together, talking on the car ride, and then getting home and cooking the meal and eating it. Most of the time people talk more about personal things at home more than at a restaurant, which can help problems with school or work getting talked about, and hopefully taken care of. “children and adolescents who share family meals 3. . . times per week are more likely to be in a normal weight range and have healthier dietary and eating patterns than those who share fewer than 3 family meals together” (Hammons & Fiese, 2011).
