Medea opens up with conflict between a husband who has forsaken his mistress. The poem shows us as readers how the wrongs we do in life can come back to haunt us. This situation is very realistic because their are a lot of women who are behind bars for killing, or even hurting someone from cheating. On the same note the father leaving their household can affect the children too. Regardless if we are a servant, loyalty, young or old, people can share the same feelings. Euripides poem Medea opens up with conflict. The nurse is outside telling what happened in between Jason and Medea, but also foreshadowing. She constantly said how Medea shouldn 't have help him find the golden fleece. Medea just stayed in the house in isolated with rage not wanting to see her children. “Her rage will not let up, I know, until she lashes out at someone” (Line 101) Pg 789. So many situations Medea, her kids, the nurse, and jason are going through can easily be applied and compared to everyday situations. The public breed men to be big, strong, and wealthy sometimes it makes them want it by any means. “ Hell hath no fury like that of a woman scorned”. Everyone refers to Medea as a hatred woman who left her home for a man that now despises her. When people are left alone in a marriage with kids, it 's normal for the women to pick up the pieces and move on with their kids. Some women like Medea, just can’t move on with their life.The nurse and tutor continued to run with the children whenever they hear the mother or father coming. Parents think completely shutting their kids out of the situation and staying isolated will help but it will just make the children confused.
