The Nurse Practice Act is laws that define responsibilities of the nurse and the scope of practice within their range. The range of activities and services as well as the qualifications for practice. The act describes what constitutes unprofessional conduct of misconduct and investigation and the disciplinary procedures for complaints filed against a nurse. These acts are in place to protect patients and families from harm as a result of unsafe or incompetent practices of unqualified nurses.
The organization being consulted is the National Education Association (NEA), known to be the largest professional interest group in the United States. Since 2002, the National Education Association mission is to progress and advance education every step of the way in public schooling. From preschool to university graduate programs, the NEA believes every student needs the proper education to prepare them for the real world. In a more memorable revision of their mission statement: ‘No person is ever poor if they have their education’ – this is true, education is beyond an immeasurable value, even public education, but only if we make it.

The Effects of Regulations on Managed Care and IDS Managed Care is a health care delivery system organized to manage cost. The legal and business imperatives of managed care pervade our national healthcare system, the regulation of managed care depends on who contributes to the plan and who bears the risk for paying for the insured services. More than 170 million Americans receive health care coverage or benefits through some type of "managed care" setting.1 By 2007 about 20 percent of these services are directly provided by a health maintenance organization (HMO), while the majority are served through other managed arrangements, 60 percent in Preferred Provider Organizations (PPO) and 13 percent in Point of Service (POS) plans. Secondly, the way the resident receives his medications should consist of the CM stating what each of the medications are so the resident is aware what he is taking. By implementing this, the CM can do the final check of administering the medications. If the medications themselves could be barcoded and scanned in before popping the medication in the medication cup, this would help the CM double check the five rights as well. A bar-code electronic medical administration record (eMAR) technology associates several technologies into the medication administration process to provide the correct medication, dose, time, route, and patient. This technology will provide an additional check and implement safety (Poon et al., 2010).
Covert use of medication can be seen as dishonest as the NMC code (2015) states respect the level to which people receiving care want to be involved in decisions about their own health, wellbeing and care; the code of practice also states act with honesty and integrity at all times, treating people fairly. In contrast however, Beauchamp and Childress (2009) highlights non disclosure, limited discolour, deception or lying may be considered when veracity and the principle of autonomy is thought to conflict with other ethical obligation. Jean was given the opportunity to understand and evaluate what was being asked and was provided with all relevant information to support their decision making process.
Dr. Song, Clinical Decision Support has been defined as a “process for enhancing health-related decisions and actions with pertinent, organized clinical knowledge and patient information to improve healthcare, as well as, healthcare delivery (Campbell & CPHIMS, 2013). Clinical Decision-supporting tools are utilized to manage and support patient care. Healthcare information systems and information-retrieval systems are tools that manage information. There are various programs that provide custom tailored assessments or advice based on sets of patient specific data (Musen, Middleton, & Greenes, 2014, p. 701). Decision tools may follow simple logics (such as algorithms), may be based on decision theory, cost benefit analysis, or may use numerical approaches only as an adjunct to symbolic problem solving (Musen, Middleton, & Greenes, 2014, p. 701).
Canada enjoys the benefits of a “universal” insurance plan funded by the federal government. The idea of having a publicly administered, accessible hospital and medical services with comprehensive coverage, universality and portability has its own complex history, more so, than the many challenges in trying to accommodate the responsibility of a shared-cost agreement between federal and provincial governments. (Tiedemann, 2008) Canada’s health care system has gone through many reforms, always with the intent to deliver the most adequate health care to Canadians. The British North American Act, Hospital Insurance and Diagnostic Services Act, Saskatchewan’s Medical Care Act, and the Canada Health Act are four Acts that have played an important
