The book that I am reading is called “Scarlett Letter” which describes how women and men get treated differently for the same things. This affects me because I am a female teenager. Personally, I feel that men and women should be treated the exact same, because we are all human. For example, in the book the main character Hester Prynne has sex and she gets punished, but if a man has sex with women he is glorified. Still in the 2000’s women are degraded, and mistreated when men are consider so much more superior. Women get paid less than a man when they are doing the same job.
