Australian society has some people living with mental health and behavioral conditions including anxiety and mood disorders. Mental illness can affect people’s thoughts, mood, behavior or the way they perceive the world around them. The major causes of mental illness are still unknown but it is believed that the interaction between certain genetic and environmental factors can increase the risk of mental illness. Beyond Blue (2016) noted that one third of the people suffering from mental illness seek help or treatment while some chose not to seek treatment due to stigma, shame and believing it is normal not to seek help.
