Mental health therapists are needed more today than ever. They are trained to help others develop both cognitive and emotional skills, cope with many life challenges, and reduce the symptoms of mental illness. There was a high demand for a therapist due to the pandemic. Jobs have dropped but it's projected to grow 23% from the year of 2021 to 2031. Understanding more about my strengths and weaknesses it’ll see if I’m a good fit for becoming a therapist. At work as a mental health therapist, I have to have an open mind, show empathy and have good listening skills. I have many strengths that would make me a good fit for a mental health therapist. Some of my strategies include avoiding conflict, staying calm while being under pressure, peaceful and agreeable. People come to see a mental health therapist with their problems so it's good to remain peaceful rather than putting more problems or stress on them. My emotional strengths consist of being patient, well-balanced, easygoing, and relaxed.
