Texas is well known for being one of the most heavily Hispanic populations in the United States. The Hispanic population with regards to ministry, is growing here in the North Texas region at a very significant rate and developing as a noteworthy player in the in the evangelical community of North Texas. While the majority of Hispanics in the area are still Roman Catholic by tradition, the shift towards Christianity and evangelicalism is profound. The following article is a short interview with one of the most well respected Hispanic pastors in the area, pastor Jeff Pereira of North Place Church is Sachse, TX. Pastor Pereira serves as the lead pastor of Hispanic Ministries and oversees all senior and executive pastoral responsibilities. Born in Curitiba, Brazil, pastor Pereira earned his Masters of Business Administration in Christian Leadership and Administration from Beulah Heights University in Georgia. He is married since 2003 to the lovely Fabiane Pereira, and as of this interview, don’t yet have any children.
