The Pine School is adopting the Leader in Me programming to support our students in becoming their genius while improving our school culture. Describe how you will guide us toward a leadership-focused environment. I will guide the school community towards a leadership-focused environment by promoting inclusivity and collaboration that will allow confidence and leadership to arise within students. Inclusivity and comfort are essential in nurturing an environment where students feel empowered and unafraid to share their ideas. I will use activities, experiences, and bonding to support my school community and develop stronger relationships with my peers. As a Pine School student, I have noticed the importance of the friendly but intense competition of the blue and gold teams and I believe they are important to school spirit. For that reason, to create a bond between every student, I will support more activities that engage in blue and gold teamwork to increase relationships among grades but also the whole school with blue and gold points being a root of school spirit. Also, to strengthen relationships among my peers and students in other grades, activities that focus on inclusivity are important to ensure bonds are created between all students, this way students will feel included in the activities and within their grades. Activities that focus on small groups with new students will allow them to feel quickly integrated into the school. In addition to high school bonding, the buddy activities are essential to creating a strong school community with lower, middle, and upper school all feeling included. I want to continue and expand the buddy activities to strengthen the ties between the various ages, creating a strong school community.
