Reliability is crucial to a student doctor being able to gain respect in his or her community in a medical setting. Reliability includes not only showing up on time for class and work, but it also includes putting in extra time before and after to ensure the job is done correctly. As a student doctor, that means putting in time outside of school and office hours. Being able to adapt and change is crucial to being able to maintain a persons reliability with an ever-changing community. Being able to learn and understand information allows a student to become an excellent physician. Being able to manage time as a student means knowing when to study and how to study, as well as maintaining one’s personal relationships outside of the classroom. Well I have not maintained a perfect 4.0 grade point average, I have never failed or dropped a class in my school career. I am always on time to class and get my work done. I do all this while being a father to two children and a husband to my wife of almost four years. I have always been able to manage my family, school, and community life. I volunteer frequently in my community. Being able to manage time as a student will be beneficial to my career as a physician. As a physician, you have to use time management to get patients in and out of an office in an efficient amount of time, as well as being able to complete patient charts.
