As a current pharmacy student, I have a strong feeling that we are all trained through the same curriculum and will gain the same knowledge when we graduate. I am seeking opportunities to become outstanding and unique among my colleague with my passion and interest. Research emphasis area is the best avenue for me to fulfill my passion in research, devote my ability to research and build my research background and to expand my career option in academics.

Grown up with the researchers in my family, I admire their intelligence, hardworking and curiosity towards the vast unknown world. I tried my best to get engaged in research areas during my undergraduate studies, as an undergraduate research assistant for four years in pharmacy, I was fascinated by the discovery of new chemical entities, the renovation of old medications, the understanding of the mechanism of action of current medications. By participating in different research projects, I learned how to leverage my own skills and teamwork for problem solving, I broadened my knowledge horizon of pharmacy and changed the way I perceive this subject of science. Introduced the idea of precision medicine by Obama on the January 20, 2015 with the announcement of the Precision Medicine Initiative (PMI), taught by Dr. William Oetting and Dr. Pamala Jacobson through the curriculum, attended the Precision Medicine Conference, I am enlightened and I have the passion for devoting to explore in this novel area. Pharmacogenomics is an area in which pharmacy expertise complements genomic information for drug selection and dosing. I seek to combine personalized medicine and individual care together with my pharmacy knowledge to treat patients and bring out the best therapeutic
