There are many attributes that a young person needs in order to be a leader. I believe that a young leader has to be invested and motivated. In order to be a successful leader a person must want to be doing what they’re doing. If a leader is not interested it would be very difficult for them to motivate others to get things done. Leaders have to be able to work well with other people and they must also be able to manage people well. Whether a leader is in charge of a large or small group it is important for them to be able to work well with that group in order to get things accomplished. Leaders must be honest and a good role model for others. I also think that leaders should set a good example for others, and have a positive attitude. These qualities will help a young person become a successful leader for those around them. I see myself as a leader in school through the various activities that I am involved in. I joined Girl Scouts when I was in kindergarten. Throughout my time in Girl Scouts until my 7th grade year I developed many of the qualities above that I believe make a good leader. Luckily, these qualities have carried with me into my high school career at Kingsland. In FFA I am a Co-Treasurer for the club. This officer role comes with the responsibility of handling the money for our chapter. Which includes making deposits, paying bills, and keeping a record of our account.
