The Case of Michael Brown On August 9, 2014, an eighteen year-old, Michael Brown was shot by Darren Wilson in Ferguson, Missouri. The shooting caused protests and has drawn the world’s attention because Michael Brown is an unarmed, black man while Darren Wilson is a white police officer. Cases like police officers shot citizens happened before, but this case has drew attention to the world because the officer is white and the victim is a black man. Many people believe that the shooting involves a racial discrimination. On the other hand, police have different stories about the shooting accident. People in Ferguson protests and demand the truth when there was not enough evidence to prove which side is true. Even though many people have different views on the shooting accident, they all want to know the truth and demand justice investigation of what happened. People believe Michael Brown’s shooting involve a racial tensions between black and white because Brown was unarmed and surrendered. In Ferguson, the majority of people are African Americans and the majority of police officers are white. On the night of the shooting accident, Brown was walking home and stopped by Wilson because Wilson thought Brown was suspicious. There were some struggle happened between Brown and Wilson. Wilson has been a police for six years with no disciplinary action against him. Police said that there was a fight between Brown and Wilson when Wilson was still in the car. According to police, Brown attacked Wilson and tried to take the gun from Wilson. By the time Wilson was out of the car, Wilson shot Brown several times. Police also said that Wilson got hurt during the fight and had to go to hospital for swollen face. The uncertainty of not knowing who’s fault is it in the case caused people to unrest and
