In the world of business today, technology becomes a significant part of all of the world business and one of the most important elements that attract many customers to compare between restaurants is the menu. Many modern businesses use iPad or any different tablet to show the menu. So, the menu today includes pictures and videos. This is why it is so important to give an attention to the way that the restaurant uses to design the menu.
Michael Riley discussed the food and beverage management in his article “Food and beverage management: A review of change.” Michael Riley discussed the changes that have taken place in the food industry. In addition, he highlighted the new marketing strategies and methods that used in the food industry and how the new methods impact the customers and then the income (Riley, 2015). As a matter of fact, technology affects the way that restaurants show the menus. Many restaurants use televisions or monitors to allow the customers to see the food. In Saudi Arabia as an example, the city laws enforce the restaurants to show the customers the picture of each meal included in the menu in order to ensure that they get the exact quantity and the correct meal. This concept could be used internally or externally. The time that employees use to deliver the food from the kitchen to the reception is the internally delivery. However, the external delivery is the time that employees use to deliver the food from reception to the customers whether they are outside the restaurant or dinning in. Anyway, in both methods the technology needs to be used in order to ensure that the food delivered in appropriate time.
