Throughout history, art has been very important. The biggest time for art, though, was the Renaissance. Many artists got their start in this era. Some popular artists include Donatello, Michelangelo, Raphael, and Leonardo Da Vinci. I believe that all of these people were amazing artists, but Leonardo was the most significant artist of his time.
Raphael was known as the one of the best artists in the Renaissance. He was the greatest designer of the Renaissance. He influenced painters up until the 1900’s. Raphael put realistic emotions onto paintings.
People think mainly about the Italian Renaissance since the artists of that time became more popular. Such artists are Raphael, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Donatello, and many more. However, the Northern Renaissance also embodied many great artists such as Pieter Bruegel The Elder, Jan Van Eyck, and Hieronymus Bosch. Many of these artists, though not known all that well, have works that are each intricately detailed in itself.
Although nobody can argue that the works of the most famous painters and sculptors were incredible some of the less known Renaissance artists and scientists accomplished just as incredible artistic feats and are far less known for their work than say people like DA Vinci and Michelangelo or Raphael or Donatello one of

Lorenzo de’ Medici was considered one of the most powerful men during the Renaissance period. Michelangelo was interested in his political power and strength and it started to influence him. Before his name was known he was just an apprentice to a painter and eventually began studying in sculpture, in the gardens of a wealthy and famous family known as the Medici. He has been remembered as the most famous artist in the time of the Renaissance. Some of his famous works include The Last Judgement (1535-1541), David (1501-1504), and the Pieta (1498-1499). Perhaps the most recognized work of his, is located on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, which took about 4 years to paint.

Michelangelo I feel like was the greatest artist in the High Renaissance era. THe legendary sculpture Created some of the greatest art pieces that our world has ever seen. Michelangelo is the creator of the Pieta, David, Sistine Chapel ceiling, Creation of Adam, and the Dome of Saint Peters. In the Sculptures of David I feel that Michelangelo does an amazing job in dramatizing his appearance and making all of his features show.
Michelangelo had a gigantic influence on the renaissance. He was a master at both painting and sculpting, he also was an architect, engineer, and poet. During his day he was unbeatable in his painting and sculpting skills. He had many artist study under him and help him with painting the Sistine Chapel in Vatican, but none were on par with him.
