Miley Cyrus Accomplishments

You might know a little about Miley Cyrus, but how much do you really know about her? You may know Miley from her acting in many well-known tv shows like Hannah Montana, or even from her hit song Party In The USA. The high points in Miley's career are more commonly remembered, but the rocky parts in her rise to fame, during her spotlight in fame, and now are frequently overlooked. Miley has gone through a lot of different changes and events throughout her career. Some have even scarred her reputation forever. Nevertheless, she has been able to reinvent herself.

On November 23, 1992, Destiny Hope Cyrus was born to Tish Jean Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus in Franklin, Tennessee. It wasn't until 2008 that Miley legally changed her name from Destiny

This new Miley caused a lot of backlashes. Parents were very upset at the new dark, edgy, and sexualized video of Can't Be Tamed. This caused Disney to erase anything related to Miley. This would not be the last time Miley would cause a stir on the internet. In 2012, Miley shaved her head and dawned a new hairstyle. Soon after on August 25, 2013, she released Wrecking Ball. Many people were upset at the nudity and sexual video. Even with all this backlash, Miley was still able to thrive in the music industry. On September 29, 2017, she released the Younger Now album. This album featured a new healthier Miley according to some fans. During the making of this album, Miley said that “I stopped smoking to sit here and to talk about what I’m doing. I wanted to be really clear because I’m actually the most passionate about what I’m doing with this record,” to Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show. Soon after on May 11, 2017, Malibu would make its appearance. This song would be the beginning of a style switch from an over-the-top look to a more country look. Everything was going great for Miley until 2019 when she and Liam Hemsworth split after only 8 months of marriage. Rumors of cheating were spread against both sides. None of the rumors were ever proven true, however, many fans do believe Miley's new song on her album proves their theories correct. On this album released on March 10, 2023, the song Muddy feet talks about her anger with a partner who is guilty of cheating. Her fans don’t know for sure if this song is about Liam, but many do believe it
