The Best of Both Worlds
Looking at that title, one might assume that I am a rabid Miley Cyrus (or Hannah Montana for my other fellow whippersnappers) fan, but that assumption could not be further from the truth. However, in the TV show Hannah Montana, Ms. Cyrus had “the best of both worlds”, as she so often told us; overwhelmed by paparazzi one day, relaxed with her imperceptive classmates the next. I too have had “the best of both worlds” ever since my parents divorced in 2003. While I’m not implying that divorce has been particularly beneficial to my life, it has helped me become a better person. Having two homes has taught me many things, but most importantly, how to look at something with a different perspective.
