Like most 9 year olds, I first belted out Miley Cyrus’ The Climb before, after, and perhaps even during school. Day after day. Over and over like a broken record, as my Mom recalls. Little did I know how much this song would exemplify my approach to taking on the next chapter of my life.
At the time, the lyrics were not important or relevant to my life. Rather, it was the fact that this was a catchy Miley Cyrus song (A.K.A. Disney’s pre-teen superstar Hannah Montana). Fast forward to the present day and this pop song provides me with a valuable reminder on how attaining goals is achieved. Hardwork. Perseverance. Dedication.
