What Medical Jobs are Best for Former Military?
There are many different medical jobs that are best for former military members. This is because after serving their country, veterans have uniquely valuable skills, talents and core competencies. Below introduces three medical jobs that are perfect for former military members.

Registered Nurse
Because there are millions of registered nurses (RNs) in America, the job market is over saturated and highly competitive. However, former military members have the solid skills and experience needed to excel as RNs who provide the bulk of health care services to patients. For example, they document patients' medical histories, symptoms and illnesses. They administer medicine, treatments and observe the results. They regularly consult with other health care professionals, such as doctors, nurse assistants and hospital administration. As a result, they will have experienced some of the most intense, hands-on surgeries ever. Therefore, they will be fully prepared to work as a hospital surgeon who surgically treats injuries and diseases. Some surgeons perform general surgeries, while others specialize in specific operations. For example, orthopedic surgeons treat injuries and diseases related to the musculoskeletal system. Neurological surgeons perform brain and nervous system operations. Cardiovascular surgeons perform heart operations, such as a double or triple by-pass. As reported by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), medical schools are very competitive and require an accredited medical degree and Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) scores. They also require proven leadership, an exemplary personality and letters of recommendation. With the exception of the MCAT score, former members of the military will have all of this and much more to help them along their
