Society is full of flaws and imperfections that need to be addressed in order to make the world a better place. These puzzling and difficult situations need to be changed so that human beings can live a better life. There are three key ways to change things in society to make it a better place. Firstly, Religious discrimination is separating people to many different types of religious beliefs in the world. Secondly, same-sex marriage should be allowed for gay people to get equal, or at least almost the same, civil and legal right. Lastly, minimum wage should be increased because it is problematic to people that cant afford basic living standards. Minimum wage is the minimum a person could be paid legally, it is also suppose to be enough pay to make a living on a 40 hours a week. If worked 40 hours a week for 52 weeks, you would get paid $22,880 before tax in Toronto. The cost of living around the world is going, from property prices, gas, food, transportation, clothing and much more. The Global and Mail said, “The average price of a low-rise home in the Toronto area hit $705,813 in 2014, up 8 per cent from the year before, while the average price of a high-rise unit rose just 4 per cent to $454,476, according to new data from real estate research firm RealNet Canada Inc.” This is crazy, how could a minimum wage person afford a house in this market. All over the world is it happening, cost of living going up and people being paid the same. Also, minimum wage makes it impossible to live life without stress, the stress of owing money and stress of working all the time. People have to work more then one job so they could provide for their basic needs.
