On Saturday October 10 the then ranked 12th Florida State Seminoles played the Miami (Fl) Hurricanes at the Bobby Bowden Field at Doak Campbell Stadium. A college football rivalry that thousands of fans looks forward to seeing every year. Kick off was at 8:00 PM but fans were encouraged to get to the stadium early because this was a sold out event. Around the Doak Campbell Stadium additional parking was available for fans starting at $30 dollars. I even seen a sign that said parking $70 dollars although it was located conveniently right across the street from the stadium.

The Texas Rangers also built a ballpark, and it was paid of faster than expected. The tax increases may seem small, but when added up over time the balance gets paid off. The fourth Stadium that I researched was the Sports Authority Field at Mile High Denver, which is the home of the Denver Broncos. The mile high was built in 2001.
Lonnie, Thank you for your post! As you know I branched off of the Yankee’s in my post. I do agree that if sports teams like the Yankee’s want to build a new stadium there will be cost increases i.e. ticket sales, concessions and team jerseys.
Take Me Out to the Ball Game In the state of Georgia, there are thousands of baseball fans that enjoy the fresh air of the open field and the taste of salty peanuts. “Take me out to the ballgame” might become a simpler task in the near future for Braves fans that live in the Cobb County area. One of the biggest things that I think of when I hear baseball is the huge stadium, filled with thousands of people. More importantly I think of Turner Field, the Brave’s current stadium located in Atlanta.
Because of this, President of the team Walter O’Malley wanted to have a new stadium built for the team in Brooklyn. It got to the point where in 1957, he had been trying for a few years, and no progress had been made. City Planner Robert Moses just would not accept his plans. O’Malley was to the point where he started making threats to move the team out of Brooklyn. Leaders like New York Mayor Robert Wagner and many other city officials didn’t see these threats as serious, so when Los Angeles took O’Malley up and offered to build the team a new stadium located at Chavez Ravine, people like Moses and Wagner finally started to turn a little more attention towards the issue.
In 1845, some young fellows in Manhattan composed themselves into the Knickerbockers BaseBall Club and recorded the tenets of the diversion which they were playing. History of Baseball appears to be dependably to have lived more in myth that ever. Youngsters in England and the United States had been playing variations of the diversion for quite a long time, for example, one o ' feline, rounders, and base. Not until 1901 was the National League compelled to acknowledge the American League, the main other surviving real association. The surprising undefeatable season of the national visiting Cincinnati Red Stockings in 1869 prepared for baseball 's all out professionalization in the 1876 development of the National League of Professional Base Ball Clubs.

To the untrained eye, baseball is a simplistic sport requiring the most elite players to fulfill the basic tasks of running, throwing, and catching. Anyone who has attempted to play baseball understands the difficulty behind the seemingly easy tasks. The skill required to throw, run, is unmatched in any other major American sport to this day. Baseball as a sport has grown to captivate a wide audience and professional following. According to a data collection website , an estimated 13.39 million people participate in baseball in the United States.
The huge game was coming in just 4 days as I stand on the pitching mound of an old deserted baseball field behind an old middle school. As I stand up there getting ready to throw a pitch I drained the sweat out of my shirt and went into my pitching position. As I crushed the ball with my small fingers I let go of the crinkled ball. It was a ball. I knew I wasn 't ready for the world series.
Imagine a day in the life minor league baseball player. In a typical day, they do so much for nothing. In the morning they get up and make a quick breakfast, they eat it on the go and continue with their day. They get into their car and go straight to the field where they see their teammates getting ready for their warm up. They throw some ball and they start to talk with their coach and see what the plan for the upcoming practice will be.
Looking for parking is always the hardest part of going to the stadium. The wait however is totally worth it. As you are walking to the stadium you hear the screams and chanting of all the fans. While looking up to the stadium you see the reflection of the sun on the windows blinding you. Walking to the entrance, it smelled great.
For a young baseball player one of the highest goals to achieve is hitting a homerun -for me that was all I wanted. I already achieved most of what I wanted in baseball, and one of my proudest was a no-hitter, but it was no home run. When I first realized how bad I wanted this feat was one night after a practice where all we did was just hit. The majority of my teammates hit at least one homerun that practice, but me I hit the fence but never was able to send one over. The car ride home after the practice was horrible, I was a mess.
